Travel Info are trinidad and tobego referred to as "Trinidad and Tobego", like together? It sounds dumb but i just want to know, thanks. The countrys official name is The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Yes thet are reffered together. They are joined like antigua and barbuda. The government is joined as one country that consists of two main islands (trinidad and tobago) and 21 MUCH smaller islands. But tobago dose have some self-government unda the tobago house of assembly i tink its called. but i tink trinidads parliment governs both islands. Hope this helps. Aye Aye Aye! The fact that it is called Trinidad and Tobago is that Trinidad is one island, and Tobago, the jewel of the Caribbean, is another island. Since these two islands fly the same respective flag of independence, for over 42 years, hence the beautiful name 鈥淭rinidad & Tobago.鈥?
