Views on Lastik surgery? |
Travel Info Allyuh anybody know about this surgery? Ah thinking of doing it, but kinda scared. Anybody did it? Please let me know if yuh think it is a safe thing to do. Travel Tips Ok, I had it done in 2003 and have had excellent results. I know that everyone doesn't have this experience, but I think it was way worth it. I wore glasses/contacts for 20 years. I got them in 5th grade. My eyes were just so tired of contacts. I checked out a few places here in southern california several times before I actually made an appointment. I was very scared, could I go blind??? There are so many places with cheap prices and specials, but you shouldn't be cheap when it comes to your eyes. And most of the prices were for only slight vision corrections and charged extra for worse vision or astigmatisims. I went with TLC and they have locations all over the US. They are supposed to have the best/most experienced doctors around. I felt very comfortable with them. The whole surgery only took a few minutes and it was a bit uncomfortable but not painful. I had the flap procedure done, where they slice the top layer and flip in back, laser, then fold the flap back into place. Like I said less than a minute per eye and I have 20/15 vision still after 4 years. I did get the lifetime coverage package because if I have to have it done again, I won't have to pay for it. They say that your eyes will naturally go back to the bad precription over time and when I hit 40 or 50 I may have to have some corrections done. I would totally recommend having it done, but check out the doctors first, make sure you find someone with lots of experience, and feel comfortable with. Good luck and God Bless :o) Others I'm gonna get it done.. yea it's pretty safe, i went & did the consultation & ting.. it eh cheap doh, but dey have payment plans & ting.. my bf did it and he could see reall good..so I goin & do it too.. I go tell yuh when I get it done.. i guess its a good & bad to e'rything but we only got one set a eyes some a dem peeple i work for had & done & luv it. . . but dey say as you get older, you have to get it done again or still wear glasses cuz it cant correct the vision all the way or it give you glare at night make sure you do all yah research before you decide. . be well informed http://search.yahoo.com/bin/search?fr=yb... And I will say a prayer for anybody who has to do any kinda surgery in Trinidad... especially in Mt Hope Ashti. Dese days people jus goin in for routine surgery and coming back out in coffin. Heavenly Father... We thank you for Ashti. We pray your divine grace upon her life in whatever she decides to do. We know that you are the greatest physician of them all and we pray for a complete and speedy recovery for Ashti at the end of this surgery. We pray for a smooth operation with no hiccups. We call it done and we thank you for bringing her thru it. In Jesus name... Amen I loved Ilyena's response and prayer...but Ashi if you decide to have the surgery come back and let us know how it was, because I was interested in the surgery long before they started using laser. When it was first introduced in the 90s, they use to use a scapel to slice incisions in a pattern like the spokes on a bicycle tire on the iris Shop around don't just go to one surgeon my husband wanted it also but was advice when he went for the consultation he was not good match for it. |
