I want to see a Tunisian dance show, where should I go? |
Travel Info I'm going to Tunisia on May and I want to visit a reliable restaurant with a folkloric show. Do you know any place? Travel Tips If you could update your question to include the city you are going to visit I can look into it for you. ****EDIT**** I asked around and found that there are some place in Tunis, but that usually those restaurants tend to be more expensive (I don't know personally, as I have never been). What everyone told me is that (and I know it's true of hotels in Monastir and Sousse) hotels provide that kind of entertainment a few times a week, and if you watch it in your hotel, it's free. Usually you can watch the animations going on while drinking coffee or something else. If you would like to tell me which hotel you are staying in I could find out a schedule for you. If I can be of any more assistance, please feel free to contact me anytime! Source(s): Have been living in Tunisia 5+ years http://360.yahoo.com/jamie_hassen... Other Travel Tips Hi Dancing A.... Hello every body..! Well if you are staying in Tunis or in the suburbs (the resort area of Gammarth) . There are several nice and reliable restaurants with folk shows ( Belly dance, oriental music ) If you would like to have the name and the contacts of the restaurants i can recommend, don't hesitate to contact me by mail << mtb.trvlconsulting@yahoo.fr >> and let me know in which hotel you will be staying so i can suggest to you the most convenient. If you will stay down town in Tunis, i suggest to you the Shehrazade club at the Abou Nawas h么tel where you can have a show, music & oriental dance, they start at 11:30 p;m and they are not open on sundays. They also have the M茅dina r茅staurant (Andalousian music " Malouf "). Welcome to Tunisia ,I hope that you will enjoy your holidays. The Travel consultant. I am from Sidi bou said, born and raised there untill i was 13 , then now i go back every year for about 3 months during the summer, and yes there are places in there you can go to, and if you staying in the capital Tunis, then it is easy to commute from there to La Goulette and Sidi bou said, whether via train or taxi. In la Goulette there are many retaurants on "Rosevelt Av" few of them with belly dancing shows and sometimes, traditional folkloric shows, example "Lucky Luke restaurant" and there's many many more, sometimes in The municipal Theater, in the capital "tunis" they have plenty of shows, check for some events, and try to go and see. Have fun, you'll love it. Me, and nobody is gonna know about our country more then us Tunisians, unless like Jamie, you have lived there way long to know :) |
