Travel Info How much is the food in tunisia ? Travel Tips First off, here is some conversion for you: 1TDN = 拢0.39, 拢1=2.570TDN 1TDN = 鈧?.57, 鈧?=1.757TDN 1TDN = $0.77, $1=1.300TDN http://finance.yahoo.com/currency... (Currency rates as of 19:07 GMT on 18 May 2007) Prices will depend on where you plan on dinning (the hotel is always more expensive) and what you plan on doing. A 1.5L bottle of mineral water costs .400TDN, but most people buy them is cartons of 6. Just a way to not have to go to the store all the time to buy water. A 1L bottle of coke is 1TDN, while a 1.5L bottle is 1.500TDN. Beer and alcohol prices will probably cost you about 5TDN for one bottle in a hotel, and around 3TDN in a restaurant. Taxi rides are pretty cheap, but if you want to save on that you can always walk. A taxi ride is usually around 3 dinars depending on how far you are going and what city you will be in. Food prices will depend on what type of restaurant you want to go to. A fast food place will cost you about 3TDN per person if you buy a coke along with your sandwich. And actual restaurant will run you anywhere between 20-30TDN for 4 people, including drinks, and many times dessert as well! Other Travel Tips cheap, be prepared to barter & always leave a tip. ALWAYS! these people live a hand to mouth existence. well their is no specific price for food their it is like down here in the u.s . if you go to nice fancy expensive restaurant, you are going to pay the big money for the same food you are going to get in other ordinary not well known name restaurant, it is all depends on the location, and the name and how popular is the restaurant, if you know what i mean. also if you want to shop for grocery, when you pay $1.45 for 1 pound of tomato from food for less, you are not going to pay the same price when you go to Ralph, or Von's it all depend. It is very cheep. Been to Tunis twice and got food at very reasonable rates. Don't expect great things though, everything either has tuna or egg on even the pizza. We got menu De suer for 10 dinar every day not too bad for 3 courses huh? |
