Whats the best money to bring into Tunisia...euro or sterling? |
Travel Info Scottish pounds or do they have to be english notes? Travel Tips Any currency is convertible - in certain places. Scottish pounds will be more widely accepted at banks English pounds and Euros will be accepted at banks, hotels, and the change counter at the airports. Some vendors might even bargain with you in the currency of the Euro. In my opinion, it would be best to bring Euros. Just a quick note: Tunisia is one of the few places in the world where you will get a better exchange rate at most hotels than you will a bank. Keep that in mind when you are changing your money. Other Travel Tips If you are coming from the UK then take sterling. I am not sure if they will take scottish pounds so I would take english ones to be on the safe side. Travel agent Best is Euro currency...I was there and I have realized that most shops, stores, etc are really crazy for the Euro currency and not much interested in the pounds nor US dollar. And when you exchange money there, you also get more when you exchange Euros into local currency. Euro or USD better. Experience |
