How is the internet in Tunisia? |
Travel Info How is the internet in Tunisia? Travel Tips Depends on what you have. If you are using dial-up, it's not as slow as you would think, but you'll see a big difference when going to ADSL. There are 128k, 256k, 512k & 1m I personally have a 256k (24/7) and we pay 45TDN a month. There are many companies and many different plans to choose from. You find the one that best suites your needs and your budget, and go with it. If you need suggestions of internet companies, let me know and I'll give you them. If you go to an internet caf茅 (called a publinet) they have a high speed DSL and charge 1.500TDN Most of the publinets know that tourists go there, so they are well kept and clean. In general you will find good Internet cafes and bad ones, try to pick a place that is busy or ask your hotel or a recommendation. Also check the price first, it should be fairly cheap - no more that 50 pence an hour (UK). If you want the best quality you can try the business centre in any upmarket hotel but this will likely cost a lot more. Good luck. |
