Summer clothes in Tunisia?

Travel Info
Is there a good selection of clothes to buy in tunisia and is it reasonably priced
also what are the shoes like

Travel Tips
Usually whatever you buy in the souk is of questionable quality, especially shoes. Whenever I buy shoes there they fall apart in a month or two. Some of the sandals are really pretty with lots of beads and details, but I usually wouldn't reccomend buying them.

Tourists are seen as rich and some vendors will charge more than 4 times the value. They'll tell you that because they like your face, you can have everything in the shop "half price." You will leave, convinced you've got a good deal while they brag to their friends about how much money they got from you. If they won't lower the price to your liking, just walk away (easier said than done) and if they're really serious they will come up with a much better deal.

In the boutiques the prices are fixed and quite expensive, but the clothes there are nice and good quality. You see a lot of girls wearing these type of clothes with beads and fake gems on them.

Others
I dont know much about shoes and clothes in Tunisia but I do know that Leather handbags are very cheap, make sure you haggle with them too because they will come down in price, they need the money more than you need the goods.
lots of leather items including moccasons! Cheap leather and very cheap knock off sports wear
didnt see many clothes therebut what we did see were cheap copies of sports wear v.cheap but not very good .but there is some excellent bags which were very cheap and i did buy a few but haggle haggle haggle for everything
You can find nice practical t-shirts and other cotton made clothes. Traditional shoes "babouches" are nice and original.
Bargain a lot when you decide to buy.
It depends on where you plan on buying them.

If you buy from the little tourist shops you will not have a big selection of clothes or shoes and the quality will not be good. Also things will sometimes be reasonably riced, other times high priced (because you are a tourist).

If you buy from the Souk it will depend on which part you shop from. The souk is divided into two parts: new things, used things. The used things come from Europe and sometimes you can find really great clothes (1.500TDN -VERY cheap) and some almost new shoes (8-10TDN). If you shop from the new part of the souk, the clothes are of good quality, but they are middle of the road in price. For shoes you really have to be on the lookout to find a pair that are of good quality and good price.

If you shop at a frip, they sell some used and new clothes, but no shoes, and you can find good and bad quality clothes there, but they are all reasonably priced (1.5000-5TDN)

If you shop at the stores the Tunisians shop at, the clothes and shoes will all be really good quality, but the prices will be high too, unless there is a special sale going on. *** clothes and shoes are imported from Europe, mainly France and Italy.
