Travel Info I am going to turkey. do i take lira or english money? Travel Tips take english money, you can change it anywhere, try to hold on to it until you get to where you are going, a more favourable rate can be obtained in the shops Others i recommand u to take turkish lira ofcours u cant use english money in stores but u can exchange it in bank's and good luck while u r in turkey You don't need liras. Lots of the shops in touristic places accept pounds or you may use credit cards. Also there are exchange stores everywhere, so you can easily exchange pounds (also dolars and euros) into Turkish liras. You can exchange any hard currency (UKPound, USDollars, Euros etc.) in any bank, exchange office and even in most shops. The currency rate may change any minute, but not much to worry about, unless it is a huge amount in stake. You can also use most major credit/debit cards almost everywhere (Visa, Master, Diner's Club etc.). Just check the rates on a bank's display in the morning before you go shopping. use turkish liras in turkey. it is so easy to change your money in everywhere in turkey. i prefer to wonder in istanbul and don't take more times in museums. life is in streets... just like everywhere all over the world. have a nice trip. Lira, of course. They won't accept dollar, but they will accept euros or lira. |
