Travel Info I'm going to turkey and would like some useful phrases to help me along! Travel Tips Merhaba....hello and phonetically spelt ta shek la derim...........thank you very much and NO! comes in extremely handy..you'll understand when you get there. Others Koyan dashahu roughly translated means sheep shagger. Might come in handy you never know. yes i would like sauce with my kebab ive been told les pronouced (lesh) is a rather good insult as my turkish friend is often calling people it. but remember it is an insult so use carefully :P merhaba - hello nasilsin - how are you? nerde - where? bakarmisiniz - excuse me( like when u wanna ask something) saol - thanks ben turkche bilmiyorum - i dont know turkish seni seviyorum - i love u (just in case ;P) .... istiyorum - i want .... su - water etc etc etc ne kadar - how much is it? that is the most important one 4 me :) the person who told u about the word for thank u is mistaken, if u pronounced it liek that ppl would just stare. one useful phrase is "annenin am'ina beton dokerim", which is good if some1 is bothering u. it means "i'll pour concrete into ur mother's C*nt" |
