Only one daily train connects Istanbul with Thessaloniki, Greece : This train (IC91) departs Istanbul (Sirkeci) daily at 08:30 am, arrives at the Greek border station of Pythion near Edirne at 14:36 (2:36 pm), leaves the border station at 16:58 (4:58 pm), and arrives in Thessaloniki (Selanik) at 23:50 (11:50 pm). The return train (IC90) departs Thessaloniki at 07:01 am, and arrives in Istanbul at 21:30 (9:30 pm). The one-way fare is 鈧?0 in 1st class, or 33 euros in 2nd class. Cheers! you ll buy a ticket from Istanbul to Thessaloniki (selanik) first! then at Thessaloniki station, you ll get off and buy a ticket to Athens! Ticket costs around 45.00 euro (you have cabin, one way) they have many trains to Athens daily and ticket costs 15.10 euro!
