Traveling to Turkey? |
Travel Info Can anyone tell me if it's indeed easy to obtain a visa when I arrive in Izmir, or will I have a hard time. I have an American passport, currently living in the US. I will be departing to izmir from Frankfurt. Travel Tips You buy a visa at your point of entry. If you are an American arriving at the airport at Izmir, you purchase the visa for $20 before going through passport control. Others easy. stamp on passport. american dont need visa You get a visa when you arrive. You have to pay for it so make sure you have some cash (Euros or US Dollar's are fine). I can't remember how much it is for American's It is like $40 or something for most nations but it is a bit more to American's. It will be easy. Americans need to pay 20 USD for a 3-month tourist visa when they arrive in Turkey. Have a good time! I live in Turkey Its very easy. Once you go into the terminal to claim your baggage, on your left side just before the baggage carousels there is a window, you can stop there and purchase a visa. I can't recall the cost, but if you obtain a visa in the U.S. prior to departure its $26 ($32 if you apply online and have the visa mailed to you). If you have more questions, please don't hesitate to ask, I just spent Jan. - Feb. 2007 in Izmir and may be able to answer some of your questions. Cheers, Safe travels http://www.e-konsolosluk.net/visa/visa_w... http://www.turkishlanguage.co.uk/izmirto... |
