Hello Turkish friends.. Can i have information about Milas/脰ren? |
Travel Info Hi everybody... I am travelling Turkey's coasts this summer and i need an info about Milas/脰ren... Can anybody help me? Travel Tips 脰ren is a little town in Milas coast... 脰ren is not known by many people... But it's beautiful small village.. I know coz my grandparents live in there.. 脰ren is 1 hour to Bodrum, 30 minutes to Milas and 45 minutes to the Milas Airport. If you get off the plane in Milas airport, you can get yourself a taxi to the Milas center. It's about 50 ytl. When you get off the taxi in Milas you can get on one of the minibusses which will take you to 脰ren. Minibus stop on the way to 脰ren to pick up more villagers. Thats a good experience coz they all have got different accents.. As a Turk, it was a bit funny for me coz i couldnt understand a word.. See same language but still different accents and cultures.. Anyway, first you get in 脰ren you see very small santral, and then a bridge which is next to the car reparing place.. mmmm when you drive a bit more you see all those fig and lemon trees. Then you see the sea. 脰ren's sea is very clean and clear. You can see the bottom of the see even in 3 meters. 脰ren's beaches are not sandy beaches. There are mostly stones on the beach and in the sea. But you'll be fine as long as you wear your sea shoes. Stones are one of the reasons of the clear water of 脰ren's sea. There is another thing about 脰ren which i can not pass. 脰ren Mountain. The mountain comes from a legend. Any villager can tell you that. When you get there look at it and you'll see it looks like a pregnant woman. Yes, according to the sayings that pregnant woman was Zeus's daughter but she fell in love with a mortal and got pregnant from him. And the god of the gods Zeus cursed her and she died and became that big mountain.. Now there is a paraglidind house on the mountain.. Every summer time people come from all over the world to jump off the monutain... That also makes an amazing seen. Specially if you're on the beach having your suntan suddenly you see people on the sky paragliding.. In 脰ren end of the day you go home and take your shower and have a little nap.. Then you're ready to go out for a delicious fish restaurant.. which is at the end of 脰ren bay.. You also can join the boat trips (mavi tur) from 脰ren and see the other beauties. such as British Bay, Cleopatra Iseland, Marmaid...etc.. what else i can say about 脰ren... Melih Cevdet Anday (Turkish writer) lived in 脰ren. His house is still there. and Mayor of Oren and Melih Cevdet Anday society make poem awards every year in summer time in 脰ren for the commemorate Melih Cevdet Anday Source(s): me... Other Travel Tips Hi, Our summerhouse is near to there :-) Milas is a small living place.Peaceful..The sea is very nice but a lil bit cold :-) Hmm if u want a holiday far away from polluted, noisy city, then Milas is very nice place. Also there might be activities, nice restaurants for the people especially for the tourists. And it has got lots of historical places. Have a nice holiday ;-) http://www.pbase.com/dosseman/milas... What exactly do you want to learn?Don't mind to ask.. Have little advice. Visit also G眉m眉艧l眉k. Milas is a small town with a beautiful beach and nature. It is one of the untouched places in the region. There are a few restaurants and the food is fresh and quite cheap. I strongly recommend Sila restaurant which is run by Resul. He makes great fish and salads. Your holiday in Oren will probably be a quiet, relaxing one but you can have daily trips to larger cities around to see some more nature, history and people. I had 2 holidays in Oren, 2004 and 2005. I don't think it has changed a lot. You can stay at a small hotel/guest house. They are run by locals and and there is a 3-4 star(not sure) hotel, as well. There are a few bars but I have to say it is not the ideal place for night life. I think the beach, the sea and nature worths seeing this town. Have a nice holiday... |
