At the coach staion there will likely as not be a number of companies going where you want, and people trying to get you to take their bus. Check which goes first before you choose - prices will be much of a muchness. A journey by bus in Turkey is a great experience - you get on board and shortly after departure they come round with cologne to refresh yourself with. There are generally cold drinks on board, which certainly used to be free. Every couple of hours or so there will be a stop at a refreshment place - at some of which tea will be supplied free. You may find that you get chatted to by a local who wants to try his English - let him - it really is nothing sinister. So - do take the bus - and enjoy - you'll also get to see some fabulous scenery on the way. Others You can definitely get a bus, but I'm not sure about the ferry... hi you can get the bus and also if you look on boat trips they sometimes will do it good luck you can definitely get a coach. they are air conditioned andyou will get refreshments provided on your journey. unfortunately they do not let you use the toilet on the coach. they make regular stops at service stations so you can go. i have been told that you can get a ferry, but i don't know exactly where from. Wow! I remember the Kusadesi ferry from when i lived in Izmir 1963-1966. Is the Kismet Oteli still standing? About 4 blocks from Buyuk Efes? I only know that you can take a ferry from Marmaris to Rhodos, then from Rhodos to Samos (via Patmos maybe), and then from Samos to Kusadasi! It will take a very long time and I think it would be much better to take the comfortable bus in Turkey! Check www.openseas.gr for timetable in Greece! |
