Travel Tips Dear Pumpkin, Have a read of the article and you will see the reasons as the author states them. The article is well written, well referenced and accurate unfortunately for the Turks. The author provides references for the allegation of the Armenian Genocide having been forged yet most people without researching the truth not even to find out what the likes of Standford Shaw, Justin McCarthy and others have said blindly convicts the Turks as an entire race. The last two paragraphs of the article in my very humble opinion are the most important, "Western cultural arrogance combined with a limited world-view contributed toward the initial hatred of the Turkish people, and their subsequent slanderization over the centuries. British Professor Richard G. Cole summarized the problem in one sentence; he wrote in 1972 that a stereotype of the Turk was, "frozen into print culture in the late 15th and early 16th century and remained there." Today, in 2007, Christian elitists with pro-European attitudes and a hatred for all Muslims, remain focused against the Turkish people. Turks do not deserve to wear the title of savage or ethnic cleanser. Historic descriptions of the Turkish people are remarkably biased and inaccurate and remain a blight among all decent and civilized people. Modern society must scrub away the vestiges of a lingering harmful and unfair typecast." Others well, we have great history, great culture and a great land, which every other country wishes to have... so I call it envy:))) just joking, but it's probably people know us different, we cannot express ourselves correctly, I've known a lot of people who changed their minds in a positive way, about Turks after visiting Turkey, or meeting Turkish people... Biased but to some extent a true article. The meaning of turk in german has a different background-It is stemming from a german inventor who apparently built a chess playing machine and called it "the turk" because there was a doll with fez and moustache on the other side. The guy was a fraud and actually fit a dwarf into the machine so when this was discovered, turking became the same as deceiving. To find out why the turks are so hated in europe, one has to look at the "Ak谋nc谋" system. Plus, thanks to islamic philosophy, we tended to do the opposite of what they were doing. The bad thing is, after some while, they tended to do good and useful things with reformation and annihilation of religious influence on everyday life. Anyone knows that the first pilot and rocket scientists were turkish? Hezarfen brothers from 17. century... They both died in exile. That much for the darkness of islam. In these day , turkish poeple has a chance for change this absurd relations.This make a really good relations between each sides. Shelomo, has a 谋ncorrect and insufficient idea about meetings in Turkey.What means "no usa no eu , indepedent T眉rkiye". This article isn't insuffisent ,we have difference of views "for what reason" and " solutions" with eu-usa-israil and Turkey."View of shelomo" is 陌SRAELand USA views and never they has'nt be justified. (excuse for my english) On the Turkish Viewpoint web site ,the flag (12 stars and 3 arrows ) is a special flag , what means that? MHP and 眉lk眉 ocaklar谋 made mistakes . "hepimiz T眉rk'眉z" and "ne mutlu T眉rk'眉m diyene" are false, "hepimiz T眉rk眉z" and "ne mutlu T眉rk眉m diyene" is ok. I'm surprise why turkish viewpoint isn't interresing about Swiss government decision about "pseudo genocide" .(24 may ,Blocher ,ministery of justice ) havent read it sry |
