Why is European education system excluding science from history? |
Travel Info They are teaching their kids that political statements like so-called Armenian genocide is a proven historical fact, whereas well-respected historians are rejecting this opinion and saying that history requires documents, i.e. facts, not hearsay or racist prejudice. Isn't this degeneration in their education system? How can we void the same fate? Travel Tips Every country has some kind of propaganda in its history. For example they cant write "oh look, we are the bad ones, we did bad things bla bla bla", so everytime they try to alter a bit the true facts. Same on turkish - greek matter, I dont say that either Greek or Turkish history is wrong, just altered to the favor of each country. Anyway, I am Greek I am fed up fighting for the past, I prefer looking in a peaceful future with friendship , not hate. Nothing can be solved with hate, just with mutual respect. Source(s): Greetings from Athens. I agree with the next answerer, travelling makes you open minded. Other Travel Tips politics, politics, politics.... it is a great degeneration, you are right, but we must admit their lobbying is better than ours, so instead of historians, they try to believe politicians... hmmmm, with the Ministry of Education in Turkey, I cannot say more:)) Be relax, our teachers don't do the same false.. Yeah, European education system is something like that. For example some Greek schools teach Turkey-Greece history wrong to the students. So those students become racist to us..Everyhing starts with education..For example if Anais had an objective education from her parents, she wouldn't be racist to us. Europeans don't teach the Armenian genocide in schools...And unfortunately most Europeans don't care about the Armenian issue or know where Armenia is...For example, what do you know about the Catalan-Spanish hatred? In Europe, the negative opinion towards Turkey comes from: 1. the Ottoman occupation in several countries in the past. 2. the Turkish immigrants (mostly poor, uneducated people) 3. the poor financial situation in Turkey 4. human rights violation 5. stereotypes If you want to learn the history of your country, you need to travel outside of it. Unfortunately, due to financial problems, Turks rarely do that. Whereas, for example, Greeks represent the 3rd most frequent tourists in Istanbul, Turks rarely visit Greece. I am Greek and this is my frank opinion. every country make propoganda.... they give different knowledge about history... that is why the new genertion grow up with enemy against to another nation!!! *I am totaly agree with "hard_n_tender26" *hey Frank... I am fed up with your racistic posts!!! |
