Travel Tips
You know since you're flying to Turkey, there are flying Carpets from Englanf to Turkey available now....Yes!!Flying carpets!!Magical ones you know...Since the recent years there have been too many tourists from Britain who came to our country,we trained our carpets to fly from England to the southern areas of Turkey where you want to enjoy your hollidays:))anyways....check Turkish Airlines it's the best. But do consider the flying carpets as well;)

It's not very easy to find a cheap flight to Turkey at this time of the year.

I don't know if they are flying fm England to Turkey, but you can check Swissair.
The reason it is as cheap for a fortnight as it is for a week is that hotels in Turkey are reasonably cheap. It is the flights that cost, and at this time of year the only way you can get a cheap flight is if there is a cancellation. Try Thomson, TUI, Monarch, most areas in England have flights from most airports. You do not apply for a Visa, you purchase one on arrival at the Turkish Airport, all it is, is a stamp about twice the size of our normal postage stamp, and coming from England it will cost you one clean 拢10 note (they will not accept 2x拢5, or even 1x拢20 for 2 people). Have a nice time, the country/people are nice.
Turkish airlines is a very cheap airline to take...you can use websites like:
http://www.expedia.com
http://www.travelocity.com
http://www.ORBITZ.com
http://www.Cheapflights.com
in order to find a cheap price from Turkish airlines.
Also, to answer your other question, you shouldn't stay for a week but stay for 2 weeks. You'll regret not having enough time to stay in Turkey, and it would have been a waste of your money. One week is just not enough time to see all the great things Turkey has to offer. :-)
