Does anyon know any Turkish names that are also american? |
Travel Info Please help if you know any i would really appreciate it because my mom is about to have a BABY BOY and wants to name it something both english and turkish. thank you so much Travel Tips If I were your mom I wouldn't hesitate to give the baby any name which would remind me of my country of origin. Why should the name be both english and turkish? Just because the majority of americans are of english origin? Just keep in mind that in US there's a lot of names of italian origin too, so there's no problem for a genuine turkish name... P.S. Do you think that the name of the U.S. Minister of foreign affairs is very "english"? Others I don't know if these help... Deniz: (It means sea in Turkish, it sounds like Denis) Can: (It means life but it isn't pronounced as in English it sounds like John) Turco-American families prefer CAN (djanne) as a name as this one is pronounced quite like "John" So the boy would go happily with his name among American firends in USA or T7urkish friends in Turkey all the same Danyel or Danyal for Daniel alex Adem (adam) Ibrahim (abraham) Harun (aaron) Watch out they are spelled a bit differently.
