Im wanting to take my new young wife with me to Turkey, Any great places that anyone could tell me about? |
Travel Info Hi, Ive never been to Turkey but heard its such a beautiful place. Any suggestions on where to go would really help. My wife and I love beaches and mountains, So a great combination of both would be great. Thanx in Advance Travel Tips Turkey certainly is a very beautiful country - it is also a very large country - so you might have to be selective in your choice I would certainly include Istambul in my list - The Blue Mosque - Ayia Sofia - The Topkapi Palace - The Bosphorous etc. I would also include Ephesus - the huge Roman City - and Pamukkale (The Cotton Palace) Others Antalya! Although it's hot now in summer, the city is right on the shore and there're mountains just behind (north) of the city. There is a place in the mountains called 'Sakli Kent' (hidden city) where you will see snow even in July. Check your travel agents for a beautiful 5 star hotel by the beach (could be ultra all inclusive), or a half-board so that you can join coach tours to enchanting historical sites and nature. I have been to and around Antalya a few times (although I find it too crowded and hot nowadays), and it's a paradise for tourists - that's what they say. Bodrum/Marmaris could be another alternative, just on the southwest coast of Turkey. |
