Ish-mell-ear is how we've always been told to pronounce it and we've been a few times.......great place by the way!

Not Izmir, that it a totally different place, Icmeler is the next town to Marmaris and is pronounced Ish-millar
ich-mee-lear
ish-meler is not the answer because it is pronounced differently.
