Mehmet is the Turkish way of the name "Muhammed" . And Ahmet is another name of the prophet(Muhammed).

# Mustafa, do you know how to read Arabic? I do only a bit, and i think Mehmed/Muhammed/Mahmud may written the same but not Ahmed i suppose. Or am i completely wrong?

They are basically the same. In Arabic alphabet there are no vowels, just consonants. Therefor aHMeD, MeHMed, MaHMud, MuHaMMeD are all the same.
