Have you done "bedelli askerlik"? |
Travel Info What do you think about "bedelli"? Should it go or should it stay? Can it improve? How? What would you change about it? If you do it again, what would you do it different? Travel Tips I think it's a way of participating to army ...Every citizen has to do it, it's a moral duty, a honor duty to serve the nation... The Republic of Turkey exists thanks to "sehit" and "kahraman" soldiers. If they hadn't done these sacrifices, we would be dead or other citizenship... As I live in France, I will do it during only month in Turkey, and paying a special military tax ( instead of doing it during 18 months). If I don't do it, they will delate me from turkish citizenship, so I am anyway obliged to do it. Because it's a pride of being Turk... " Ne mutlu T没rk没m diyene !" Askerlik is absolutely necessary, it's a question of survival , and also an important moment in someone's life... Others It should defo go I belive it should remain but the conditions should change. Most of the men who have a career and didn't complete military service always look forward to it. May be it would be better to give the chance for ''bedelli'' in every 5 years. It would help the military financially and the men who didn't complete the military service. no . I was officer ( 16 mounts ) Well, i completed my military service as an officer at Nato Corps HQs in Istanbul about 5 yrs ago and it was quite fun like working in a multi-national company, but the other side of the story is, money talks in everywhere and if you have enuff of it do it as "bedelli" coz the last time "bedelli" issued was after the earthquake on Aug 17, and i lost that chance with being a month younger than their age limit. So, for the others who have that chance, i think both sides ( Turkish Armed Forces and Individuals) would get some profits. So, why not? |
