Dress code in turkey beach? |
Travel Info are speedos mandatroy in Turkey .at whcih resorts are mandatory Travel Tips Speedos aren't mandatory, unfortunately a lot of guys wear them though. Others Well, shorts are also okay, but being without anything is a big no no. Also being topless for women - NO! Some resorts accept topless women on their beach, but only as long as you lay down, walking around only with a top. Sure, there are still men wearing a thong, women are walking around topless - you won't end up in jail, but the people give you crazy looks why do people don't go topless or anything like that in their own country and do it in abroad??? I don't know.. But Turkish beaches are modern, just be careful around children and you will be fine.. ew speedos.. why would you even wear those! Stick to boardshorts... There is no formal dress code in Turkey but it's practically the same as in conservative parts of Europe, meaning anything but too provocative or topless stuff are ok (like a regular swimsuit or bikini for women). I disagree with some people. Bikinis are normal. thongs are acceptable. topless acceptable in most coastal beaches. and there are nude beaches also available. In general I found Turkey rather relaxed. There are some people what they call "Maganda" I thought it was a funny term that may look at you up and down at some beaches. but not in all areas. in a resort, it doesnt matter. ppl wear what they like and go topless and its considered ok to do so. however, is you are going to a smaller resort, village, fishing town etc, it is higly frowned upon as is showing affection. its against the religion to show to much flesh and you must remain covered. 'to show respect'. resorts cater for the holiday makers needs more so it does not matter. |
