Travel Info Can anyone give me a firm idea of the prices of food and drink etc in turkey ? Going there for a week in April Travel Tips As everywere imported drinks are more expensive than local and theres not much taste diffrence i live in turkey and when we go out to a nice restuarant we normally spend around 8pounds for a 2 course meal for 2 drinks depend on what you drink in fethiye were i live mostly its about 90p for a pint of efes a vodka and coke is about the same in most places but it does vary so check the board prices before going in.And i also advise you pay as you go for drinks and when we have payed end of the night it seems a big bill sometimes up to what weve had. Others Could be Cheep! Drinks are pretty much the same as here now,you can still get the odd bargain by looking around. The food in the restaurants is also the same, but if you look for the little back street ones or eat in predominantly Turkish restaurants you can eat quite cheaply. When we started going 14 years ago it was very cheap but they seem to have caught on now and have put prices up. We were there again in September, have a great time ,you will love it,its beautiful and the people are the nicest and friendliest I have ever met. Hi, The food in Turkey is so inexpensive in the supermarkets. You will be amazed how cheap it is. The local drink is cheap too.If you eat and drink in the restaurants it is roughly the same price as Spain and Greece. 拢5 for a good meal. only went to turkey for the day...but found the food and drinks to be much cheaper than england...and you can shop around for the cheapest places...it wasnt expensive. you could also stock up at the supermarkets if you get low on money. everything else..clothes etc., you buy - you will have to 'haggle' for - great fun and you can get some brilliant bargains. they will take euros, pounds, dollars ..which makes life much easier. i really liked turkey and the turkish people...i would certainly go there for a holiday! have fun! Turkey is a cheap country for shopping.Bread is 30 ykr(0.3 dolar) Coke is not as cheap as in USA ,it is 1 dolar per liter ,cheese is between 3-5 dollars per kg,vegetables are quite cheap in Turkey any vegetable is only 1-2 dolars per kg If you drink,it is not cheap in Turkey.A can of beer is 2 dolars and a 35cc raki is 11-13 dollars these sites may help: http://www.tourismturkey.org http://www.turkeytourism.com http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/tourism_in_... http://www.turkeytravelplanner.com/detai... http://virtualtourist.com/travel/.../tur... these sites are sure to help you to travel to turkey! thank u |
