Why are there 3 or 4 Men for every 1 woman in Dubai? |
Travel Info And is this why there are so many prostitutes in Dubai? Travel Tips Easy: the UAE is not a country where you build a house and settle down. Most people come over here just for a couple years, make some tax free salary and leave again. The very big group of workers and low income employees do not make enough money to be allowed to sponsor a wife. Other men meet the criterias but find it hard to meet ends by paying high rents and school fees. Husbands who make good money and won't have no problems sponsoring a family might have very often a wife back home who does not want to quitt her job. There are many more reasons but it would go to far to explain everything here. Well, yes prostitution exists here like everywhere else, too. Where is a market for prostitution there will be. But I can't say that it is more then in other countries. A role in this case also plays the tourism. Blame men for it! Take care. edit: @Fanano Dear, calm down. Itay did not say anything wrong. He asked nice, so he got a nice answer back. But yes you are right, the prostitues are no local girls! edit:@Itay: you maybe got confused coz the UAE is an Islamic country. Thanks God the UAE is very open to other life styles and all Religions are allowed here and every Western appreciates that. But you see - where is sun, there is shadow, too. UAE Govt. is working on this subject right now again.
