Is it advisable to bring the household items like TV,Fridge and Washing m/c by shipping to Abu Dhabi? |
Travel Info I am from India and my company will pay the shipping cost? All are for 230V AC and less than two years old. If I sell there will get poor value and again to pay hefty bills in Abu Dhabi? Your Advice please. Travel Tips As you said by selling these items we may not get good return. If we able to get 20 or 25 percent, it is a good sale. After selling, we again spend lot of money to buy all of these things. If your company is paying for the shipping, it is better to take them with you rather than selling. You make sure, you do very good packing or you approach professional packers and movers they will do good packing. So that the damage is minimized. If you have a lot put them on a container or else put them on pallets. I did this before. Took my things from Australia to Singapore. At the end I payed little money and I was happy. Try to get home delivery or door to door delivery. Others if your company's paying then ship! If not, then I advised buying them there - abu dhabi is cheap and duty free for lots of goods no.these appliances are easily and cheaply available and u can even buy them second hand if u wish and then at the time of leaving u can sell them off again.there are many agencies to take care of that.if u carry yr goods u will not only have to pay the shipping cost but also the tension of where to get them mended if gets defective,broken or how to run them becuse usually the adapter and the switches and current supply are different in all the countries.too many headsches,really.buy there only and enjoy the difference Instead of facing hurdles with the Customs office by shipping those goods, best thing is to expose them at some second hand purchasing showroom in India and purchase new one at Abu Dhabi (Murali-9908431118) Electronics & home appliances are very cheap in the UAE. The cost of shipping that stuff all the way from India to Abu Dhabi will be much higher than buying new gadgets out there. Plus, the risk of damage while shipping. Suggest you dont sell your stuff but store them away for later use. hmmmm.. u can get everything here... cheap and without problems of shipment |
