Going Dubai?

Travel Info
I'm planing to visit Dubai on 10th of june, myself i'm citizen of Latvia(EU country) curently living and working in the UK, so i bought my tickets via travel agent in UK. I'm require visa to enter to dubai, just now i've given my aplication form to get visa i have booked flight, hotel. But ''Emirates'' the air company who sponsors my visa required working permit or residence permit from me,but i can't provide with none of these just coz i don't need to have any, so i just sent my working certificate. So what is the chance that my visa would be accepted?

Travel Tips
hi there I work for British Airways and I deal with our dubai flight every day and go there 7-8 times a year and know exactly what u need. U do not need to provide residency or work permit all you need is the reservation for your air ticket and the name of the hotel that you are staying at. Generally its the hotel that sponsor you, normally what happens you send your details off to your sponsor ie your flight booking and the hotel booking and they then send all the information to the Dubai immigration services at the airport for aproval once they have checked your details out. Once that has happened your sponsor will recieve a copy of your visa which is in arabic and english and they will fax you a copy of the visa to you which you will need to provide to checkin when you are flying out so that they can prove that you have a visa awaiting from your sponsor on arrival. When you get there as you get off the plane a walk towards immigration you will be met by ladies ond guys dressed in yellow suits they are from the Marhaba welcome service you will see your name on a board and that is where you will recieve your paper visa to take to immigration which is up the escalator from where you collect your visa from.
I hope this helps and that you enjoy your time in dubai, its fantastic

not sure on your visa, but i don't blame you for wanting to go out there, i went last year for a holiday and going back again in august, its such a lovely country. i would love to live out there.
Hi,
you did not say why you are planning to visit Dubai, if you are planning for tourism, the answer is yes they will permit that for maximum one week

Regards.
Dubai will only allow certain residents in on a 'non sponsored' visit visa, these countries are generally EU/US/Oz etc, if you do not have a British passport and your home country passport does not gain automatic entry visa then you will have to apply for a visa through your embassy and obtain a visa on arrival at the visa desk.
Sounds easy...trust me its not...
I live there
If you are staying at a decent hotel then they should be able to sponsor you. They send you something to say they sponsor your visit and then you collect your visa at the desks I think (left hand side just before the big staircase up to the passport hall).

Only hassle is that the hotel will insist on keeping your passport until you leave but that's not a big deal.
you just need to obtain the usual tourist visa/or even no need for u as Latvian- they will stamp you the entrance and stay in Dubai upon arrival..
