Can my USA Playstation 3 be plugged in to a 240 v outlet in Abu Dhabi? |
Travel Info Or do I need a transformer, and where could I find one in Abu Dhabi, I've checked in several places. Travel Tips U.S play station only operates on 110v. So if u r going to use it in U.A.E u need a current converter. I would recommend u buy one from the U.A.E, same price as U.S and without the risk. Others i would say you should NOT plug any us appliance into 240 volt in any country, unless it has a dual voltage switch. use a transformer, your best bet would be to look on the internet for a local supplier or get one from the us......... expensive postage tho. Yes, you can plug it, in all you need is a converter for the plug itself. The large box on the power cord is its own transformer to buffer power. All you need is an adapter to make the plug fit in the recepticle. I have mine plugged into the same voltage here in Kabul, has been plugged in and working fine for 6 months. I got a free Playstation 3 from this site, I highly recommend it! http://www.******************/... Look at the power supply on the playstation. If it says something like 100~240V 50-60Hz, then it's ok to use without transformer. |
