Dubai the paradise for the white loser ? |
Travel Info I heard this expression. Is it true ? At a restaurant I overhead a conversation that Europeans that could not become call center agent in Europe could become General Manager in Dubai. Travel Tips Although you maybe exaggerating a little in your example, but it is true that there there is favoritism for white Europeans in Dubai over similarly qualified applicants from Asia or Africa. it is sad but it is mostly true. another example that racism still exist in different parts of the world for different reasons. Others What the hell are you talking about? Call center for what? General Manager for what? To be perfectly honest, I don't know. But my guess is that it is not true. But that's just my opion. No call center would hire an European asking for a "good salary package" incl. housing, transportation, healthcare etc. if he/she would not be realy qualified. In this field there are to many very well educated and qualified Indians available for less than an European would ask for. That's the reason why European companies outsourcing to India etc. Why should any company pay big money to an European when they can have better staff for cheaper? I know that this is not fair and I do not want to offend anybody, but that's just the reality. Dubai is not a heaven for European loosers. Take care. UAE lol its so true a European or other white person would be valued above a similarly educated and experienced Asian people used to joke that white managers would be waiters in their home country ( not really true but funny) lived there |
