What are the chances to work in Dubai in constructions ?? |
Travel Info My friend asked me to post this question for him, he is Palestinian, and he wants to find a job in Dubai as constructions, he finished his hight school and did not have the chance to continue his collage, now he wants to know what is his chances to find a job in Dubai , and what he needs to do first? what does he needs to start the first step?? please advice Travel Tips Please be not offended by my answer! Sad but true, the construction workers here are all from the Indian Subcontinent and Pakistan. These people have to live on a very low salary in labour camps outside of the cities. They are only off for one day. Many times it happens that they get cheated by their own kind of people and do not receive salaries for months. Never ever advise somebody to come here as a construction worker! There are MANY construction contracting companies out there who hire them, fly them there, take care of the visa, house them...but they also work them like crazy and the pay is low. Lots of hotels, and taxi jobs too, BUT, they also make them repay their visa fees etc. The workers end up getting screwed one way or another in Dubai because there are so many desperate people from other countries who just want to work. You can do a search for them online.
