Friday and Saturday. gov. day offs or bank holidays are............ friday and saturday. yet i think some banks are open even on saturday for the convenience of their clients. but in private sector there are some who took their day offs on thurdsday and fraiday. or make thursday as halfday. It used to be Thursdays & Fridays, but now it's Fridays & Saturdays due to the requests from Off-shore banks. Banks all over the world are closed on Saturdays & Sundays, so the banks in the Gulf were missing out four days, but now they miss out 2. Friday has to be a holiday in Muslim countries because of the Friday prayer. Also for those who work six days a week, Friday is their day off.
