What to do in Vancouver, BC in 1 1/2 days.? |
Travel Info I have a day and a half to spend in Vancouver in early June. What is the best way to sample all of Vancouver's attractions at such a short time? Any suggestion on what is NOT to miss? Travel Tips It depends upon what you are interested in I guess. If you like to shop there is Robson st. Gastown Chinatown. If you like parks Stanley park used to be gorgeous, but most of the trees blew down in a big storm so I dont know what it looks like now. There is Capilano suspension bridge, Lynn Valley, or even drive up to Whistler. For museums there is Planetarium, Maritime museum, Museum of Anthropology & Science World. Others if you wanna spend good money on good stuff catch a Vancouver Canucks game at GM Place pretty much evey tourist doesnt leave Vancouver without watching a hockey game,your gonna have to spend $120 PS. Robson Street is always packed after games, so you might wanna join the crowd to have some fun. Definitely, you don't have enough of time. go directly to downtown eastside. if you like gambling and horses check out hastings park, which is located next to the pacific national exibition and playland(an amusement park) vancouver aquarium is fun, if you feel like taking a drive out to aldergrove in the beautiful fraser valley there is the vancouver game farm...it is now called something else but the name escapes me. there is stanley park, the planetarium, gas town, the cn tower is amazing for a view, depends on what you like to do. if you are without the kids check out vancouvers nightlife. also there is always the warning stay off the eastside --not good area. science world, capilano suspension bridge, this could go on and on...lol. used to live there for 25 years...now live in alberta..better job, one tax whats not to love!! Stanly park Grouse mountain, English bay China town Gas town grand ville island science world, get a day pass for the transit bus and sky train $8.00 $6.00 for seniors check tourismvancouver tourismbc you may want to stay longer. |
