Which one is better Sydney or Vancouver? |
Travel Info please... if u have a chance to live between one of those two cities..which one will you choose..?I`m gonna attend to one of the colleges in those cities. Both are in the downtown. Which one is better than..? Travel Tips They're kind of apples and oranges - depends what you like: Sydney has lovely weather, I find the architecture to be quite charming - lots of Victorian era brick buildings with wrought iron - of course the scenery is quite beautiful in places, and lots of little blue water bays and ocean front. On the flipside though - its a dirty city, the trains are gross, its quite expensive (I was SHOCKED at the price of beer there) and culturally it is very ethnically homogenous (ie. mostly white people). Vancouver has nice weather in the summer - but a lot of grey skies and/or rain for six months of the year. Not as big as Sydney - but MUCH more ethnically diverse, without some of the racial tension I witnessed in Sydney. Vancouver lacks a lot of architectural heritage, with the majority of buildings downtown being new towers. A better, cleaner transit system here. Slightly lower cost of living. Vancouver has a lot of opporunities to enjoy a variety of nature / sports nearby. I'm from Vancouver so I might choose Sydney for something different. Otherwise - I'd probably opt for Van. (There is a Sydney, British Columbia, too, just a pleasant hour's ferryboat trip from Vancouver). |
