Service wise though: - The Port: grain, sulfer, potash, lumber and manufactured goods from throughout Candada arrive here (via rail mostly) and are shipped across the Pacific - Tourism: Alaska cruise ships and tens of tens of thousands of visitors annualy - Education: Vancouver has a LOT of post secondary education institutions and language schools - Film & Television: They call us "Hollywood North"as everything from multi-million dollar blockbusters to car commericals to Movie of the Weeks are filmed here - Marijuana - the region is renowned for the (illegal) cash crop..
