Make sure you have a mullet though. Others Vancouver's not really a heavy-metal town - - - you need to go to the 'burbs for that (as the other poster mentioned - Surrey).. They city does have hard rock bars - - but more punk than metal... The Cobalt on Main St. is a notorious punk rock bar - but there's a good chance it will be gone by the time you arrive - it is in a prime condo development area (this city has condo-tower fever.. you couldn't wing a flying-v on a 12ft patch cord without hitting a new construction site). best bet when you get to town is to check the "Georgia Straight' its a free weekly that lists and advertises all the clubs and shows.
