How is Vancouver in comparison to my hometowns, Ottawa and Kingston? |
Travel Info In all reality, Vancouver is the only major city in Canada I haven't been to as it is on the west coast any my family weren't big spenders. What should I expect? Will it feel like a city like Ottawa? Travel Tips Vancouver is much larger than Ottawa; third largest in Canada. It is very cosmopolitan and lively. The city sits on the Strait of Georgia, an arm of the Pacific Ocean, and adjacent to the Coastal Mountains. Thus, it is scenically beautiful. Vancouver has consistently been rated one of the best cities in the world to live, even though it is quite expensive! The climate is mild (rainy during the winter months, but spectacular during the late spring through mid-autumn.) There is always something going on. So there are plenty of entertainment possibilities & plenty of outdoor activities. Others all of them suk their in canada No, weather is nicer (not as cold) but it rains more. City is bigger than ottawa. You have more choices, more people. Of course, you have whistler there to go for skiing and victoria island. never been to ottawa, but vancouver is a nice big city. lots to see and do I think Vancouver has the same feel as kingston (laid back, scenic, lots of outdoors stuff to do, with some great shopping and restaurants), but with the perks of being a big city like Ottawa. I found Ottawa to be a city of concrete, the buildings in Vancouver at prettier and are more glass construction. I have lived or spent time in all 3 cities |
