Rental Car in Vancouver, BC, Canada?

I am going to rent a car in Vancouver, Canada for 10 days; I do however have a few questions:

1. I am 22 years old. How much of a surcharge per day that I need to pay to rent a car?

2. Can I use my US Driver's License to rent a car in Canada?

3. What is the cheapest rental car company?

4. What about insurance? Am I required to have/buy one?

5. Any other tips/insights that may be helpful?

1 your age is not a problem the charge depends on the vehicle and how far you drive. count on $45 per day inclusive
2 your licence will be accepted

4 insurance is manditory, (about 12 to 20 dollars per day) but you can arrange rental insurance through your current policy holder sometimes, so check that out.

Call the 800 number of the rental company about age.. if your Us licence valid no problem. insurance is law. some small cheap companies Renta a wreck Thrifty,,,,,Buyer beware.
