Travel Tips It depends on what sort of action you're looking for and what sort of budget you're on. If you like the 'frontier edge' and a good job market, Prince George is a bustling little city. If you're looking for a gentler lifestyle, anywhere in the Okanagan valley is good, but housing isn't easy or inexpensive. Jobs aren't quite as easy to come by as in PG. If you're looking at the Greater Vancouver area, that's where the action is really centered. There is an exciting lifestyle, great jobs, but housing can be a real problem unless you've got a pretty substantial bankroll. Victoria, on Vancouver Island, is in a world all its own. The Island is really lovely, but any time you want to go anywhere, you're faced with that ferry ride back to the mainland. Again, it just depends on what you are looking for. There's a good website at HelloBC.com that can give you some good tips. Others OK, I don't actually have an answer, but I just wanted to say how envious I am! If I ever get the chance to live there, I don't think I could live anywhere but on the water - Coal Harbour was stunning, and there were alot of new condos going up when I was there - Sept '05 (in advance of the Olympics and just 'cause.) I guess the Lower Mainland & southern Vancouver Island would be where the action is. As far as the best part that is subjective and depends on what you like. I think the area I live in is "The Best". If you want to live near there, however, check out Burnaby, Surrey, Coquitlam, Langley, etc. |
