UK pharmacist in canada? |
Travel Info I am thinking of doing pharmacy in Uk but also thinking that we should move to canada in future. my hubby has got canadian citizenship but we are living in UK for 7 yrs. He is british born and i came from India. does anybody know will the canada accept my qualification from UK? what are the procedures I would have to go through in canada to be a pharmacist after doing M.Pharmacy in UK? what are salary options in canada for pharmacist? Travel Tips Canada is notorious for making medical professionals from foreign countries prove their training and qualifications. There is a pharmacy board who regulate approving the qualifications of foreign-qualified workers. http://www.pebc.ca/englishgraphics/pebc%... If you are planning to eventually live in Canada, I would check before starting the course in the UK that it will be recognized in Canada. I understand that Canada offers good salaries for Pharmacists, however, it's unlikely to be as high as the equivalent US position. Also, as so many Pharmacists are employed by companies such as Walmart and Safeway, weekend working will always be a necessity. Hope this helps. Others Pretty much everything in Canada is based off the British system, so yeah, you should be good. As far as salary, I haven't a clue. |
