How do you consider Vancouver BC for living there?

It is beautiful here, wonderful, every day I walk outside I wonder at the beauty!!

We live right in the city, and while Vancouver IS an expensive place to live, if you are careful and a bit lucky, you can do it. We managed to find a large one bedroom basement suite with our own yard for just $500 a month, all utilities included, in a really nice neighborhood of single family homes. This is NOT typical .. but like I said, with a lot of looking and a bit of luck, such things can be found.

Average rent for a two bedroom apartment in "okay" parts of the city is $900-1,100, but deals can be found. Some of the adjoining cities rent/housing is a bit less. Transportation system is excellent, you can get just about anywhere fairly easily. IMO it's on the expensive side, but definitely a lot less than maintaining a vehicle.

The weather is moderate, neither too cold or too hot. It does rain a lot, but there are plenty of sunny days, too, especially in the months may-sept. Of course, the rain is what makes everything so green and lovely.

You will never run out of things to do here. Lots of museums, galleries, clubs, libraries, outdoor activities, celebrations, and many, many pariks, things to do for every budget. It is also a very dog friendly place, with numerous off-leash areas available.

I think it's one of the finest places to live, and I generally hate cities.

I consider it beautiful!!! It is expensive to buy a house (and so it must be to rent as well) you can live in the 'burbs - there are many places to live within 30 mins of the big city. The shopping is great and the scenery can't be beat.
