Canada will allow dual citizenship - nothing in their "vows" include renouncing any other country. I know of people who have kept their US citizenship and gotten Canadian citizenship. The US doesn't exactly like it, but it is possible. I dunno if Canada offers dual citizenship... you should ask someone like an immigration lawyer. I think you have to give up your U.S. citizenship if you want to become a Canadian citizen. Nope. You can have dual in some countries, but Canada is not one of them. if you OBTAIN Canadioan citizenship then you can keep the US one too. You can hold dual citizenship at one time. |
