Where can I get the best flight deal from London to Vancouver or xmas? |
Travel Info I've tried all major flight companies (zoom, BA, Air Canada, US airlines etc) & cheapflights.co.uk, travelsupermarket.com... The best deal I've found so far is Scandanavian airlines (拢485) return to Seattle & then I'd drive from Seattle to Vancouver. I live in the London but am from Vancouver and go back and forth quite often. Christmas is the worst time for tickets and when I booked last minute a few years ago I paid 800 pounds on Air Canada. I just tried British Airways direct flight Heathrow to Vancouver International (zero layovers) for the dates you listed. I found one for 443 pounds. Trust me from experience, you DON'T want to drive from SeaTac airport to Vancouver around Christmas time. It would be a 3 to 4 hour drive from hell on as many as 14 lanes of "meatgrinder" traffic. Not to mention what can be well over an hour lineup at the border of just sitting idling in your car. After a 10 hour flight, this would be difficult to take. Plus it will cost you a pretty penny to take a rental car across the border and dump it at a Canadian dealership--I don't imagine you'll want to be keeping it the whole time but maybe you will. Also try Air Canada--they offer the same non-stop service direct flights right into Vancouver.
