Travel Info Same thing : I'll be coming from Toronto & I'll have 3 hours to kill before my flight to Hong Kong on December 28th. Travel Tips I'm guessing you're talking about wireless internet. Nobody else seems to have gotten that. Yes there is wireless in the airport, especially throughout the international terminals however you need to have a Telus account (or somehow purchase a temporary one with your credit card) to use the internet. It sucks especially since so many other Hotspots in the city are free. Others There is nothing much to do at the airport. Why not take a short taxi cab into Richmond and go to the River Rock Casino Resort? While you are there, you can play the slots, take in a show or grab a bite to eat. http://www.greatcanadiancasinos.com/rive... LOL Cheers! The airport is located on an island quite a distance from downtown Vancouver. The nearest place is Richmond and I think someone already mentioned the River Rock. Again, its a 1/2 hour cab ride to downtown Vancouver's hotspots. AND with only 3 hours...not enough time to go anywhere. I'd grab a starbucks and people watch in the international departures area. You know what? 3 hours is not a long time in Vancouver airport, when you consider you'll be going through security and screening at peak travel time. I've had this take me more than 2 hours on some recent trips. Why not just enjoy the opportunity to stroll around the concourse before such a long flight to Hong Kong? |
