Vancouver to Banff?

Travel Tips
Westjet return to Calgary is about $200 + taxes. You'd rent a car from Calgary and Banff is only a 45 min drive from there. Or there are buses.

It's beautiful. Lake Louise is just north and is a little more reasonably priced. If you're looking to ski its got a great hill.

2 days isn't very long, I'd take 3-4 at least. Source(s): www.westjet.com

Other Travel Tips
The cheapest way is to car pool. i.e. driving. Hired or rentals are more costly. Banff is not cheap by any means, so book your lodging well in advance. You don't want to be stuck in the middle of nowhere moaning about having to paid US$300 for a modest last minute room. (Happened to me, and the clerk was telling me to count my blessings at that) During peak season, they do run 100% full a lot. 2 days is just about right for Banff... IMHO.
