Please help re Winter Olympics in Vancouver 2010? |
Travel Info We've been to Vancouver twice (from the UK) and would very much like to go back to watch the skating and downhill skiing in 2010. Can anyone tell me when the tickets for the Olympics will go on sale and how I'd get hold of them in the UK? Also, we stayed at the Pan Pacific last time which was truly fab - does anyone know how far in advance they (or any other good hotel) would allow us to book. I'm sure the demand will be massive so how do they manage it? Thanks for any help. Travel Tips The official site says tickets are available in 2008 and to subscribe to the email list for updates. Think I will do that myself right now. Don't forget. Downhill skiing will be at Whistler, a fair distance away from downtown. So you may want to coordinate tickets and hotels. (Like don't book skating in the morning and skiing in the afternoon. Or early morning skiing if you are staying at the pan pacific.) Source(s): http://www.vancouver2010.com/en/particip... Other Travel Tips it does not look like they are onsale yet, but here is a usefull website to keep checking back with. http://pda.wstickets.com/olympics/games/... Sorry, I haven't heard anything about when tickets might go on sale. Do you have a ticket bureau in the UK? They will likely have blocks of tickets for sale -- or at least be able to tell you when you can reserve tickets. As for the Pan Pacific -- why not simply pull up their website and ask them how far in advance they will take a reservation? You're right, the demand will be massive and there is already talk about registering people who are willing to do B&B just for the Olympics. There's a new snowboarding event too, which should be fun to watch, along with the skating and skiing. See you there! |
