Travel Info I will be in Vancouver, Canada for a week. What can I do for fun during my stay there? Travel Tips Depends on what your life style is ... You can take the sea bus to North Vancouver..eat/shop at Lonsdale Quay You can ride the sky train from waterfront to Surrey and back Visit Stanley Park....walk the sea wall and watch ships go by Watch people on Robson/shop Go to see Gas Town/quaint shops in district Go to China Town...on East Pender Visit Art gallery/Science World/Planetarium Go to Grouse Mountain for sky ride/ eat/ski or just watch Lynn Valley Suspension Bridge....walk across/hike trails Visit Metro Town Shopping mall/also huge gaming area To name a few...............type in things to do in Vancouver,BC you will be provided with as much information as you need all geared towards visitors, maps etc. Enjoy your stay........and WELCOME !! Others Play Hockey!!! eh? Go see the Vancouver Aquarium - it's really ncie http://www.vanaqua.org/home/ Science World. Aquarium. Metro-town. Downtown. English Bay. False Creek. Queen Elizabeth Park. Stanley Park. BC Stadium. The other stadium. Ride the sky train. Whistler is only a few hour drive. Hike on the nearby mountains such as Grouse. Visit the numerous lakes out in the mountains (few hours drive or less). Movies. Beaches. Just walking through downtown is nice. There are lots of people but it isn't crowded and you can usually see a movie or two being filmed on various locations. The sea wall is a very nice place to start. Go to Whistler and Ski. One of my very fave spots is Granville Island - craft market, fresh food market, specialist shops and these cute little ferry water buses that take you across the river. |
