In Vancouver Canada can I smoke weed in the cafe's? |
Travel Info what was your favorite place to go to?cafe's,hiking,hotels.....ju... looking for some good advise Travel Tips Although weed is technically illegal throughout Canada, it is generally tolerated, especially in Vancouver. When you come here, you'll be able to smoke at the New Amsterdam Cafe (Cambie St. and Hastings St.). The cops leave the place alone so long as nobody is selling in there. However, I would suggest taking a walk along the seawall around Stanley Park and burning one right by the water, especially if you happen to come in the summertime. If you do... go to Third Beach at Sunset. The sun sinking into the Pacific is ridiculously beautiful. Others No you can't smoke weed in BC. But my favorite place to go to was the Granville Island public Market and see the fresh food. I also explore some of the city's amazing churches. You just cant get that on the East side (Seatle area) You can smoke it where ever you like, but you might want to avoid getting caught. If you want to smoke pot, there are (nice) places around the world where it is legal to do so. Luckily not all Governments are as close minded as the US Government with their 'war on drugs'. there were a few cafes in Vancouver that allowed pot smoking but i think that has all but stopped... i wouldn't suggest it any ways as it is not actually legal, and if you are from the states and get arrested in Canada your own country may not let you back in and then you may be in a bit of trouble as you would not be legal to work in Canada.. and possibly arrested if you try and go home |
