Travel Tips
It's like the automated phone messages you get when you call a company. Stock messages are done by professional voice announcers. Updates and specific messages are done by an employee of the company, in this case BCRT. So she's probably a receptionist or an I.T. person unlucky enough to have been chosen to record the messages. You can't believe how hard it is to read the announcements clearly, in a natural voice, without screwing up. It's very stressful.

You're kidding right?

One time that voice was replaced by some other voice, I think it was a Britished accent woman, and it was during some rough times for the skytrain. So whenever the next stop needed to be called I heard that other voice.

At one point right before a stop.. it might have been to Renfrew, not too sure.. the voice giggled! Can you imagine that?!
Legend has it that it is Lillian VanDerZalm..
.. wife of then premier Bill..

I dunno maybe that's an urban legend..
It used to be a local woman whose voice was recorded. When the Millenium line came in, bombardier used someone else to announce all the stations. It was on the local news at the time of the switch about 2 or 3 years ago.
I think it's cupnoodles voice
