Travel Info I live in Vancouver BC, I want to take a girl on a romantic night on the town, any suggestions of things to do Travel Tips Well, Stanley Park is currently closed - and totally dangerous, so unless getting trapped together under a giant hemlock that's slid down a cliff onto the seawall is your idea of romantic - I'd wait til they've opened the park. Celebrities? great club but not my idea of romance.. esp depending on what night they've got going on. My suggest: - rent a limo (~ $70/h) take a nice champagne drive up to Grouse and dinner at the Observatory.. back to the city for cocktails and a nice bar - or mayber rent a suite at the Opus Hotel, w. cocktails at the Elixer. - restaurants with views of English Bay are always good: sunset dinner at the Boathouse (Beach Ave) followed by drinks at the Sands or the Denman Public House.. Others Get her out of the rain and take her to Paris Go to Stanley Park. I hear there is alot to do there. CELEBRITIES NIGHT CLUB: Legendary, cutting edge gay establishment located on Davie & Burrard. During its 4 year hiatus, Celebrities has been fully gutted & renovated and this queen of Davie Street is now ready to return her former glory. With fresh decor, state of the art sound, lighting and visuals, a gorgeous staff, incredible drink specials, Vancouver鈥檚 hottest DJ鈥檚, performers and go-go dancers, Celebrities is back, bigger and better than ever. With an eclectic weekly line-up ranging from top 40 & house to rock & new-wave to hip-hop & r&b, and monthly special guests from every corner of the world, Celebrities has something to offer for everyone. As one of Canada's largest gay dance clubs, Celebrities is naturally equipped with the newest in lighting, sound and visual technologies including two large holographic screens. The Main level of the club features a large, central dance floor, a ground-level DJ booth, confortable seating, a VIP section, a ventilated smoking room and 2 huge, full-service bars. The Second level provides a unique, three-sided environment where you can escape, kick back and relax or just enjoy the amazing view of all the action below. Gay or straight - this club is the best time in town! Yes, definitely take her to one of the higher end restaurants downtown. Wine and dine her! The Lift Bar & Grill in Coal Harbour is really nice, or the C restaurant under the Granville Street Bridge by the water, or Provence Marineside Restaurant. If you want something in the 'burbs go to the Hart House restaurant by Deer Lake in Burnaby. Personal experience. The most romantic restaurant where I have ever been downtown (or anywhere in Vancouver) is Villa del Lupo, on Hamilton between Robson & Smithe. The location/setting is very private; the building was formerly a house, and from the street, you have to walk up a set of stairs to get into the restaurant. |
