Which are the closest universities to vancouver? |
Travel Info beside ubc and sfu. Any other? Travel Tips Others have mentioned UVic and UNBC (which is in Prince George not near Kelowna). Also, there is a UBC campus in Kelowna (called UBC-Okanagan), and, in its second or third year as a university, Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops. Both UBC-O and TRU are about a 5-hour drive from Vancouver. Others UVIC in Victoria, and UNBC (university of north BC) i think it's near kelowna. SFU As far as I'm aware, those are the only universities in the Vancouver area. There are a number of community colleges. The next closest university is UNBC in Prince George. Oh yeah and U Vic! That's in Victoria so it's closer than UNBC. There's Western Trinity in Langley (1/2 hour away). Private Christian University with a highly regarded Nursing program for one. |
