Travel Info How far is whistler from vancouver? Travel Tips Everyone is right. It's about a two hour drive from Vancouver to Whistler!! Could be a little more or a little less depending on the construction on the Sea to Sky Highway. I was there about two weeks ago and it wasn't too bad!! Snow was amazing!!! Have a blast!!!! Others Whistler is located 120 km / 75 miles north of Vancouver About 2 hours drive. both answers above are correct It is about a two hour drive depending on how the construction is on the Sea to sky highway. Everybody is correct with the average of about 2 hours. I thought I'd throw in my two cents anyways: It really depends on road conditions, construction and of course how fast you drive. I have done the drive in a little over an hour, and I have also take almost 6 hours to get there. About three weeks ago, after two feet of snow fell on Whistler, it took about 5 1/2 hours to get from downtown Vancouver to our cabin in the middle of Whistler. Also, with the expansion of the Sea-to-Sky highway for the 2010 Olympics, there are random delays when they shut down one of the lanes of the highway. Random note: my Dad once drove from downtown Vancouver to the Whistler village in 38 minutes, in the late 80s. |
